Bamboo Scaffolding

In Asia, builders erect bamboo scaffolding that reaches far into the sky in surreal curves. The workers move like spiders, with no safety harnesses or precautions.

Before I could make a living with my art, I worked in the construction industry. These huge organic structures reminded me of that time of my life and inspired me for this small collection. Some of the works are painted on wooden panels, a nod to my father’s job as a carpenter.

So far, Bamboo Scaffolding includes thirty works, each one unique. I will gradually add others to this series, which I hope will be infinite.
