Metropolis

At one point, I was flying from Montreal to New York City every two weeks. Several works from the Metropolis collection suggest the configuration of cities as seen from the sky; roads, urban areas, aerated suburbs, zones of vegetation. Their cartographic style reminds me of waking up confused at high altitude, my head leaning against the window, and looking at an unidentifiable city below.

This series also includes close-up views, most often created from a montage of photos taken on site. The series recalls the superimposition effect of Street art, giving each work both a historical and contemporary feel.

The  Metropolis collection  already includes several unique works. I will gradually add others to this series, which I hope will be infinite.
